Eyebrows are one of the most important features, they open up the eyes and frame the face. Unfortunately there are very few people happy with their natural brows, with Microblading I can reconstruct the brows fully for up to 2 years giving you anything from a natural  finish to bolder looking brows.

What is Microblading & how does it work?

Microblading originates from Asia . It is a semi permanent makeup procedure that is carried out by a qualified technician, using a hand held tool made up of tiny fine needles configured into a blade shape to deposit  hair like strokes of pigment into the top layers of skin, the epidermis. The  feathering technique of hair strokes are fine and crisp and look like natural eyebrow hairs.

How does it differ from semi permanent tattooed makeup?

Microblading is a manual eyebrow tattoo procedure  where the colour is deposited closer to the surface of the skin than when using a machine. The microblade is several times thinner than the needle used for machine eyebrow tattooing  with the pigment remaining crisp without bleeding  or blurring into the skin.

How long does it last?

Having your eyebrows microbladed is a semi permanent procedure and tends to last  1-2 years.  Colour boost top ups are required following this. Various lifestyle factors influence colour durability e.g. skin type, exposure to the sun, facial treatments that regenerate the skin etc.

Initially the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a 2 weeks period whilst healing. It is crucial to have a touch up  (which is included in the price) between 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure as it is very  difficult to predict how the skin will retain the pigment.

Does it hurt?

A topical anaesthetic cream is used prior to the procedure which can be topped up throughout making it  relatively painless.

Who is suitable for Microblading?

Microblading is suitable for most people particularly  those:

Is it safe?

The treatment is perfectly safe, the pigments are all pharmaceutical grade and are hypoallergenic and regulated. Only new sterile blades are used for each Client. A patch test is required at least 24 hours prior to the treatment to ensure no allergic reactions.

What happens at the Consultation?

I offer a consultation for £20 , this is then deducted from  the treatment cost if you decide to go ahead. The consultation can be arranged a few weeks prior to the treatment if you are unsure if microblading is for  you, or at the beginning of the treatment if you have already made that decision. A patch test must be carried out at least 24 hours prior  to the treatment. During the consultation we will discuss colour, shape and your expectations,  I always map out the brow design for you to see first until we are both satisfied. I will go through a through medical assessment  and make sure that there are no contraindications to the treatment. We also run through how aftercare is so important in maintaining your brows. It is important for you to be 100% confident with your decision to proceed.
